Membership Refund Terms & Conditions
The Southern Tablelands 4-Wheel Drive Club Inc. has the following refund policy in respect of its memberships.
The joining fee and membership fees are non-refundable, however:
- Refunds will be issued if a member overpays their membership and/or joining fees.
- Refunds will also be made if a new application is not approved by the Club.
- No other refunds will be provided except in limited exceptional circumstances (as determined by ST4WDC Committee at its sole and absolute discretion. Each particular circumstance is unique, and the exercise of discretion by the ST4WDC Committee in one instance does not create the obligation to exercise that same discretion in another.)

REFUND POLICY
The Southern Tablelands 4-Wheel Drive Club Inc. has the following refund policy in respect of its memberships.
The joining fee and membership fees are non-refundable, however:

- No other refunds will be provided except in limited exceptional circumstances (as determined by ST4WDC Committee at its sole and absolute discretion. Each particular circumstance is unique, and the exercise of discretion by ST4WDC Committee in one instance does not create the obligation to exercise that same discretion in another.)

Applicants agree on their application form that:
- They note that the Club is not an RTO (registered training organisation)
- They have reviewed and understood the minimum vehicle and equipment standards.
- They have read and understood that there is no refund of either the joining fee or the annual fee
- The Committee recognises that there are some occasions where a refund of either the following two choices may be deemed relevant and appropriate:
- The Annual Fee (but not of the joining fee), OR
- A full refund less PayPal fees (if paid via this method) and NSW and ACT Association fee
The Committee should consider each refund request carefully based on each case’s circumstances.
These occasions will not set a precedent for future cases. Reasons could include death or severe physical impairment of the member or immediate family member, or relocation of residence a considerable distance away from the ACT.
For the avoidance of any doubt, a refund of joining or membership fees will not be permitted, or considered exceptional circumstances, in the following (non-exhaustive) scenarios:
- a pandemic declared by the World Health Organisation
- natural disaster
- change of mind
- the event of minor injury or illness
- an inconsequential change in personal circumstances that prevents a member from enjoying the full benefits of membership
