Wyangala dam
Wyangala Dam, approximately 2.5hours from Canberra, situated in the picturesque Lachlan valley offers some magnificent mountain views, interesting rock formations and is an ideal location for fishing, water sports, 4wding and camping. The trip is mainly a grade 3 with a few tougher sections including steep, loose inclines/declines with large rock steps and weather/dam level permitting deep river crossings. Vehicles with Lifts and snorkels are a must with damage to sill panels a possibility. Camping will be at the popular Quartpot camp ground on the water’s edge of the dam, campers will need to be self-sufficient with no drinking water or amenities available. Camping is $10 per adult (children for free) The trip leader will contact trip members closer to the date to organise a group booking.
Sunday will be a leisurely pack up and head back to Canberra.
