Trip Leader Workshop
Activity Description:
Trip leaders are amongst this club’s most valuable resources and this workshop is an opportunity for club members to attain the skills required to become Trip Leaders. The basis of this workshop will involve round table classroom theory and hands on practical exercises. The topics that will be covered are: Planning a trip, Trip grading, Expectations of a trip leader, Expectations of a club member, Role of a trip leader, managing difficult people, managing the trip, National Parks, Risk assessment, Convoy integrity, Communications, vehicle recoveries where students will participate in managing recovery incidents. Participants are expected to be at Talooge on the Friday night as the course will commence at 09:00 Saturday morning Please note participants must have completed Basic Driver Training. Certificates will only be awarded after the student has been involved in leading three activities.
