Tasmania Bound
Activity Description:
This trip is designed for those wishing to visit and explore Tasmania – a place not often included on the club’s trips calendar. There’s a lot to see and the trip will only scratch the surface during the two weeks allowed. Given the nature of getting your rig to Tasmania in the first place, the trip is designed to start and finish in Devonport. More details will be provided on the starting point as participant’s requirements are identified. The itinerary is a flexible one and will depend on the participants and the weather. However, I can say that it is intended to cross the Pieman toward Strahan, visit Cockle Creek, camp at the Arthur River and also at New Norfolk, allowing for sight-seeing, day drives from those locations. It is also intended that the trip will take in Stanley and The Nut, as well as traversing The Western Tiers. Also be mindful that this is a Grade 3 (max) level trip, suitable for Camper Trailers.
