Trip is full If you like I can put your name on the waiting list call or text me.This will be a trip up to Birubi Beach (Stockton) just north of Newcastle, about 450 kms each way. We will stay at the Birubi Beach Holiday Park on Saturday and Sunday night reservations have been made for ten powered sites. We will spend Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday at Stockton Beach -enjoying swimming, surfing (at the patrolled section of the beach), beach fishing and beach driving (including 15 or so kms along the beach to the Sygna shipwreck which ran aground in 1974. Early start Monday – on the way home – we will drop into Newcastle and look around Newcastle Harbour, perhaps seeing a coal ship coming or leaving one of the busiest coal ports in the world. Beach permits can be purchased at the local service station in the Birubi Beach area. Please note members who have not completed sand driver training are welcome, but must carry recovery gear and have good recovery points on their vehicles.
