ST4WDC Basic Winching Course
Activity Description:
PLEASE NOTE THIS COURSE IS FULLY SUBSCRIBED, NO FURTHER BOOKINGS WILL BE TAKEN This basic course is to demonstrate to members how to safely use their winch and recovery gear. Attendees must have either an electric or hand winch. A 4wd recovery kit,( including, winch straps, shackles, drag chain, snatch block, gloves, cable dampener and tree protector) will be required. Hand held radios are very useful. Students will be briefed Friday evening about the course and their gear checked, then set up camp and enjoy the night The practical part of the course will be run Saturday morning commencing at 8am sharp and finishing up around midday. You may choose to go home in the afternoon or you are welcome to stay longer if you wish. Members must have been in the club for at least 12 months to be eligible to attend this course.
