Safe One Basic Driver Training at Talooge Park

Activity Description:

This is the Club’s official Basic Driver Training Course. What to Bring: 1: Yourself & family and a 4WD in good mechanical condition 2: Camping gear for overnight stay 3: Food and Cooking gear for 2 days 4: Chairs to sit on in lessons and around the fire 5: Recovery gear, if you have it, but not essential 6: Garbage bags for all your rubbish to take home 7: Notebook & pen 8: Air compressor 9: Full tank of fuel 10: Torch 11: Drinking water. 12: UHF Radio 13: Front and Rear Recovery Points preferred. There is a large First Aid Kit at Talooge. Also a large gas BBQ For more specific details about the course including participant instructions please contact Peter Butterfield at the club meetings. To book on this training event please nominate on the ST4WDC web site. You must confirm your attendance one week prior to the course or your place will be given to members waiting to do the course NOTE, THIS COURSE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR VEHICLES WITH ROOF TOP TENTS OR CAMPER STYLE OR SLIDE ON BACKS ON UTES.

The club provides two levels of membership

full member           family member

To be a Full Member you must own a suitable four wheel drive vehicle and hold a driver's licence. Basic Driver Training is provided only to the Full Members. Partners and family members of the Full Member are categorised as Family Members and may undertake Basic Driver training by becoming full members but pay only the annual membership fee component (not the joining fee) and may revert to family membership after 12 months. Details of all membership entitlements are provided at Section 3 (1) of the club by-laws.
