Paint and Pino
Come along for an easy drive and overnight camp to lovely Thomas Boyd trackhead campground on the Goobragandra river. We will leave Saturday morning, set up camp and spend the afternoon sipping on Pino (or whatever your drink of choice is) and creating a painted canvas or ceramic statue. The campground is located next to the river with plenty of spots for fishing or swimming if art isn’t your thing, and we’ll set up some outdoor games to play.
This trip is designed to be relaxing and to encourage our female drivers to come along on a trip – men are welcome but are preferred to not be driving. The campground is an easy 2-hour drive from the meeting point at Uriarra, heading down Bridabella Road towards Tumut. There are shelters with tables, a sheltered bbq area, flushing toilets and dogs are welcome.
You may purchase your own painting/ceramic kits online or from large retailers like Kmart – doesn’t matter what it is, the important thing is getting out and about and having a few laughs!
Bookings are essential and are made via the Thomas Boyd Trackhead website. Cost is $10 per person over 15 years of age and $1 per child under 15. Fees are paid in cash to the ranger when he comes around.
The date may be reviewed depending on the weather leading up to the weekend.
