MLR4WDC Loftyfest 2024 – Peterborough SA

MLR4WDC Loftyfest 2024 – Peterborough SA

Loftyfest is Mount Lofty Rangers (MLR’s) annual Octoberfest outing in the Flinders Ranges. Loftyfest 2024 will be held on the long weekend of Sat 5 to Mon 7 October at Willangi Bush Escapes near Peterborough SA – https://willangibushescapes.com/ .

The weekend will involve 4WDing on Willangi tracks and other drives in the area (gradings vary according to track), plus other activities (eg Camp Cook Competition in 2022) and is a great way to get to know others from both ST and MLR clubs.

More details regarding site booking and trips will be provided when published by MLR4WDC.

Peterborough https://www.peterborough.sa.gov.au/tourism is a historic railway town surrounded by farming land adjacent Goyder’s Line. Checkout the Steamtown Heritage Rail Centre, the Motorcycle & Antique Museum, The Printing Works, Magnetic Hill and more.

Just north of the Barossa Valley, and on the doorstep of the Flinders Ranges, it’s a perfect spot to start or finish an SA adventure. Consider also joining the joint MLR and ST club ‘Off the beaten tracks in mid-South Australia’ trip beforehand. You are welcome to join that trip part-way through (eg at Coober Pedy or on Eyre Peninsula), if you don’t have time for the whole trip plus the week break in between.
