Kowen Forest is remarkably close to Canberra and has some interesting and hopefully some challenging tracks.
Please bring your recovery gear. Lunch, snacks and your own chair.
At the old Kowen homestead site we will stop for lunch and toilet breaks.
This trip is a good outing for new members to practice their recent driver training.
Some tracks are overgrown, there is a high possibility of bush strips.
There are 2 river crossings plus the possibility of track clearing, chainsaw work.
As access is through a locked gate promptness is important. Please arrive at the meeting area by 8:50am – the access gate will be unlocked by 9:00am and locked shortly after.
We will be locked in until 5pm unfortunately you may not be able to leave early, depending on circumstances.
As access is dependent upon favourable weather conditions an update including details of the meeting location will be provided to participants prior to the event.
Numbers of members may be restricted due to covid-19 restrictions.
