Kowen Forest Campout
This trip is planned as a chance to catch up & try out our campfire cooking skills, with the opportunity to also go looking for some interesting tracks in the Kowen Forest. It’s been a while since the club has been to Kowen Forest, so it may be hit & miss with tracks. The drive in to the campsite is grade 1/2. Hoping for some optional grade 3 for those with the Basic Driver Training.
Kowen Forest is BYO firewood. So if everyone could bring some, I expect we’ll end up with plenty. Camping is $10/night for adults & $6.50/night for kids. Will arrange to gather money closer to the event. Planning to meet at the first locked gate near Sutton Rd at 10am, set up camp in a leisurely fashion, then those that wish to come for a drive can.
Due to Covid-19 I’m limiting participants to 20 for the time being. If there’s interest & we’re able, I’ll increase this closer to the event. Also due to Covid-19 I’d suggest we self-cater rather than doing a potluck dinner.
