Coastal fishing at South Durras

I’m heading to the coast for a few days fishing, and you’re invited! I’m booked in to Murramarang Resort at South Durras for the nights of Monday 18 July and Tuesday 19 July, so we are driving down on Monday morning and returning home on Wednesday afternoon. I’m planning to fish on Monday evening, Tuesday morning, Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning (if I have the energy!). There are two good fishing options close by: the main beach at South Durras, and Emily Miller Point (rock platform). Both of these are less than 10 minutes drive from the resort. Murramarang Resort has a good range of accommodation options, from camping through to beachfront villas. I’d recommend you check out the options and make your bookings ASAP. Keen fishos will know that these dates are pretty close to the best possible times for fishing in July, with morning and evening high tides coinciding with the full moon. Don’t forget your NSW fishing licences!
