The club's monthly meeting are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm at the Deakin Football Club. The club's AGM is held during the October meeting.

Around Mini Australia in 26 Days – Part 2 – 14 Days

Activity Description:

Part 2 – Great Australian Bight (GAB) – 1st April to 15th April 2018. Esperance – 2 nights (Pink Lake, Stonehenge, Fishing) – as this is Easter Accommodation is harder to find for a short stay so if you want to join the trip here you might want to spend Easter in Esperance. Cape Le Grand – big rock climb in the car. Israelite Bay – Old Telegraph Station. Bilbunnya Dunes – Australia’s highest sand dunes. Twilight Cove – where the GAB towers over you and Eyre Bird Observatory. Koonaldo Homestead – Old Eyre Highway. Dog Fence – where it meets the ocean. Fowlers Bay – 2 nights – fishing and relaxing. Streaky Bay – camping and fishing (supposed to be great whiting fishing). Coffin Bay – camp and relax. Arno Bay – camp and Snapper fishing. Back to Canberra – 2 Days. Requirements – 2 Drivers as long days behind the wheel are going to happen. All vehicles who do not have extra fuel tanks must carry an extra 20 litres of fuel. 60 litres of water. Note: No camper trailers. This is a remote area, please come prepared. 2 spare tyres, recovery gear, etc. Grade 3. If wet, the roads will be closed and we could be stranded for days, so carry food and water for up to 7 days. I will update details, and there will be a pre-trip brief (over dinner) approx 1 month before departure.

Membership

The club provides two levels of membership

full member           family member

To be a Full Member you must own a suitable four wheel drive vehicle and hold a driver's licence. Basic Driver Training is provided only to the Full Members. Partners and family members of the Full Member are categorised as Family Members and may undertake Basic Driver training by becoming full members but pay only the annual membership fee component (not the joining fee) and may revert to family membership after 12 months. Details of all membership entitlements are provided at Section 3 (1) of the club by-laws.
