Around Mini Australia in 26 Days – Part 1 – 12 Days

Activity Description:

Part 1 – Oodnadatta, Uluru and Great Central Road (GCR) – 21st March to 1st April 2018 Departing from Canberra we will head to Maree where we will meet up with 2 friends (1 car) from Adelaide. 2 Days Oodnadatta Track – 5 Days (Coward Springs, Lake Eyre South and North, William Creek – Flight, Oodnadatta Roadhouse, Painted Desert). Uluru and The Olgas – 3 Days – Field of Lights Art installation, The Olgas and Segway Tour around Uluru. Great Central Road – 2 Days (Docker River, Lasseter’s Cave, Petermann Ranges, Warakurna Roadhouse, Warburton Roadhouse, Tjukayirla Roadhouse and Rockholes, Giles Breakaway, Laverton). Kalgoorlie-Boulder 1 Day – Super Pit. Esperance. Requirements – 2 Drivers as long days behind the wheel are going to happen. Note: No camper trailers. This is the Outback and while we are close to civilization please come prepared and don’t expect green grass campsites. Grade 3. If wet, the roads will be closed and we could be stranded for days, so carry food and water for up to 7 days. I will update details, and there will be a pre-trip brief (over dinner) approx 1 month before departure.

Membership

The club provides two levels of membership

full member           family member

To be a Full Member you must own a suitable four wheel drive vehicle and hold a driver's licence. Basic Driver Training is provided only to the Full Members. Partners and family members of the Full Member are categorised as Family Members and may undertake Basic Driver training by becoming full members but pay only the annual membership fee component (not the joining fee) and may revert to family membership after 12 months. Details of all membership entitlements are provided at Section 3 (1) of the club by-laws.
