Trip Leading

The aim of this workshop is to assist members seeking to lead club trips, to confidently coordinate and run four-wheel driving activities. On completion of the workshop students will be able to:
  • Understand the role and responsibilities of a trip leader,
  • Understand the role and responsibilities of trip participants,
  • The process of preparing a trip for proposal, seeking Committee approval, and advertising the trip to members,
  • Deciding Trip grading,
  • Running the trip and post trip responsibilities
  • Manage recoveries
Class room training:
  • Responsibilities and expectations
  • Planning a Trip (location/route, duration, difficulty/grade, accommodation)
  • Preparing a Trip Proposal
  • Trip Grading
  • Timing
  • Convoy and participant management
  • Delegation of duties
To attend this course you must:
  • be a current/financial club member
It would also be beneficial to participants to have completed Basic Driver Training.
