Hi all, the Willowglen 4X4 Challenge is a really great weekend away, The TLCC Hosts every year. Feel free to come and have a great weekend. I will be staying there all weekend but feel free to just come for the day or night and leave at your own leisure. We will be meeting at Queanbeyan Hungry Jacks at 10:30 AM and leaving at 11:00 AM on Friday the 28th of September. The TLCC Willowglen 4×4 Challenge is an exciting 4WD event held annually over the NSW October Long Weekend. The Willowglen 4×4 Challenge sees teams consisting of 4 vehicles from various registered 4WD clubs competing over a Friday night stage, four stages on Saturday and four stages on Sunday. The Friday night stage commences just after sunset, Saturday’s events are all day from 8:00am, Sunday’s events start at 8:00am concluding with the Mud Hole, followed by the presentation at approximately 6:00pm. The competition stages are designed to suit both competitors and spectators and ensure maximum enjoyment, speedy recovery of vehicles and continuous running of events. All stages are a test of both driver & navigator skill and vehicle capability. Spectator’s tickets to the Willowglen 4×4 Challenge are available online from $25 for a day visit ticket or $50 for a weekend ticket (plus booking fee and transaction fee). Click on the link. Tickets are also available at the gate from midday on Friday 28th September. Weekend camping passes are $60 per person (cash only). Day tickets are $30 per person (cash only). Children aged under 17 enter free if accompanied by a family adult. Willowglen is located near Tarago some 40 minutes south of Goulburn. On event weekend, direction signs will be posted along the road giving directions to the Challenge from Tarago. Importantly, you don’t need a four wheel drive to get there. The property and car parks can be accessed by two wheel drive vehicles. The event is hosted by the Toyota Land Cruiser Club of Australia, and regarded as the premier 4WD competition in NSW.
