West of Bredbo PackSaddle Hut
This Trip is now full happy for reserves but will only be approved if someone drops out. Packsaddle is a hut that is suppose to be West of Bredbo with a track that is lucky if it is driven at least once a year, therefore this trip is graded as a high grade three trip as it will be unknown. We tried to find the hut two years ago and didn’t succeed as there was no track, so with the river at its current low level its time to try again. This trip is not for the faint hearted as we don’t know what we don’t know, you need to be a confident driver with a confident vehicle, good lift, tyres and recovery gear and if required be able to work as a team. We will leave Williamsdale and make our way to Bredbo to air down and hopefully cross the river from their it is unknown territory so be prepared to clear and build tracks as we go. We will end the day with those that are keen with a meal at the Bredbo pub prior to heading back to Canberra. This trip is for the adventuress and non time keepers. This trip may require blinds depending on the river depth so a blind is required.
