Recce for the Blue Waterholes & Geehi trips
Activity Description:
A little lateral thinking here in case spots don’t free up for the above trip. If you would like to come along on the recce 5-8 January, you would be very welcome. Note, this is a recce for two trips, the Blue Waterholes trip late January and Geehi in late April. If interested, please text or call my mobile 0417 579 066 The plan is: Thu 5 January, meet at Mt Stromlo car park (at top of hill) at 9am for a quick look around and briefing. Set off for the Backyard Explorer part of the trip. Head for overnight at Blue Waterholes – of interest is road conditions and suitability for camper trailers and to find optimal camping arrangements for 10 (maybe more vehicles for the actual trip) Fri 6 January, break camp and check out Port Phillip Fire Trail, crossing of Tantangara Dam Find some interesting ways to Geehi for overnight camp (2 nights) – Sat 7 January, explore Geehi area for April trip including camping spots and suitability for camper trailers, – Sun 8 January, return to Canberra Anyone who can’t spend the 4 days on the recce is able to leave at any time – we will always be fairly near to a main road.
