It could be cold at Bendethera Caves Group 3

Activity Description:

This may be a cold trip, temperatures could drop into the low minus so rug up warm and bring a good sleeping bag. Bendethera valley is great in winter, crisp and dry. The plan is to travel via the back way into Bendethera minimising the blacktop. Starting at Michelago, we will have morning tea at Dampier trig. From here will travel via Minuma range and down Mongamula FT for lunch in the valley. After lunch we cross the Deua three times and then head upwards over Mongamula and Bendethera mountain prior to dropping back down into Bendethera valley. This track can steep rutted and tricky in certain sections. There will be five water crossings that can be quite deep. We will depart Sunday midday and head out via Dampier fire trail and other tracks back to Michelago Note please bring a blind for potentially deep water crossings.
