Fishing and Prawning weekend
Activity Description:
This is to be a fun relaxed camping, fishing and prawning four days, travelling to beachcomber caravan park south Tuross (base camping for the three nights) via the Kings Highway and a couple of tracks south to get the wheels dusty. This weekend has been picked as there will be no moon with good tide times meaning the prawns will be running and the tides should be at their best to catch a feed of fish. This should be a fun couple of days prawning beach worming, fishing (for the skilled and not so skilled), diving, swimming or just relaxing on the beach. Due to being in a commercial campground the cost will be $120.00 for the three nights for an unpowered site, 10 sites have been booked though you will need to pay a deposit of $50 by 25 December to secure. As this will be an easy 4wd trip Camper trailers are welcome, Sunday we be returning home via some 4×4 tracks, non 4×4 trailers are welcome to return home via the highway. Anyone that can’t make the four days you can shorten the trip by making your own arrangements arriving or returning on the days that suit. (# Note this will need to be negotiated with the campground to ensure a site is available as it may not be with the rest of the group.) Requirements full tank of fuel, NSW fishing licence if prawning, fishing or diving (suggestions for gear can be given closer to the date), a taste for seafood able to relax and have a heap of fun.
