Activity Description:
This trip starts and ends in Cairns. We will travel to the Tip and back over 16 days camping each night in a different location and spend a couple of days at the Tip for tours. Iconic 4WD tracks such as the OTT are included for the more adventurous (Grade 4). Bypass routes will also be available (Grade 2-3). Stops include the Lions Den, Croc Tent and various roadhouses, with some riverside and beach camping and opportunities for a dip or two without the snappy handbags. Detailed planning is still underway. Grade 4 optional sections will require a well prepared vehicle with at least AT tyres, lift, snorkel, front and rear recovery points.
