Two Thumbs WildLife Trust (Koala Rehabilitation) at Peak View NSW (about 2hrs from Canberra) was severely impacted by the January bushfires. This trip is providing an opportunity for club members to assist with some reconstruction and cleanup work around the sanctuary. Tasks may involve removing old damaged fences (but not replacing), construction of enclosures, removal of fallen timber and other maintenance tasks. There is camping (suitable for off road caravans and camper trailer) and limited toilet and shower facilities. You need to be self sufficient with food as the nearest shops are probably Bredbo or Cooma. Members may come and go as they please during the week and do as little or as much as they are able. This is a great opportunity for the club to assist in the local community. Tools and equipment will mostly be provided (if you have suitable tools and can bring them along it will assist).
