LICOLARAMA is a one week excursion to the Victorian High Country. Modeled after Michael’s long running and popular VHC Ramble, but base camped at Licola instead of Dargo to provide access to the tracks on the western side of the VHC. Day trips may include;

Butcher Country/McAlister River/Black Soil Gully – 154km
B1/Chromite/Mt Margaret/Burgoyne East– 94km
Caledonia River/Dingo Hill – 143km
Cobbs Spur/Burgoyne West/Burgoyne East/Mt Margaret/Hickeys Ck – 87km

Members are welcome to attend for any part of the trip if you can’t do the whole week.
DEPENDENCIES/CONDITIONS: The trip will likely go ahead rain or shine except in the case of extreme weather event, bushfire, pandemic, etc. Day trips may be cancelled or rerouted at short notice due to rain or high river levels.
DISTANCE: Licola is approx 600km/7hr drive from Canberra via Cann River and Bairnsdale.
BASE CAMP: Licola Village & Holiday Park. We have negotiated a special one person per night site rate of $24 unpowered and $40 powered. Note that caravans must book a powered site. Camper trailers, tents/swags or car based campers can book either. Licola has hot showers, toilets, laundry facilities, and a general store selling basic supplies, hot food, alcohol and fuel.
