Gungarlin River summer camp Remote Gungarlin River campground is nestled beside the Gungarlin River, in Kosciuszko National Park, an hour’s drive from Cooma. A regular for winter trips where camping in snow is the aim , the camp ground sits on the Snowy Plain with the beautiful Gungarlin river flowing beside, full of fish and looking inviting, even in July. This trip is to experience the campground and surroundings in warmer weather, explore alpine huts, fish in the river, go for a dip. The drive in is easy but can be churned up if there has been rain.
