This weekend trip is to visit and explore Davie’s Plains Hut and visit Mount Gibbo, Mount Pinnibar and Dogmans Hut. This is an overnight trip leaving Canberra on Saturday morning and returning on late Sunday afternoon. We will meet at Williamsdale on Saturday morning to drive to Tom Groggin. Crossing the Murray River at Tom Groggin and then drive onto Davies Plains Hut via Davies Plains Track. On Saturday night will be camping at Buena Creek before heading to Mount Gibbo and Pinnibar the following morning. Returning to Canberra late Sunday afternoon. Participants must have a vehicle capable of undertaking a level 4 tracks and river crossings. Vehicles will require recovery gear. Participants will require camping equipment to suitable for the weather conditions. The weather will be closely monitored and this trip may be cancelled at short notice if the weather is too unfavourable due to the requirement of crossing the Murray River.
